Courses

Michael Lakin's Botanical Art Courses run throughout the year and cover wide range of subjects, with a different theme each month.
The classes are relaxed and enjoyable and allow you to develop your skills in traditional and contemporary botanical drawing and painting.

Michael is an experienced and enthusiastic tutor, who has the ability to teach others using his step-by-step, 6 stage technique.

The courses cater for absolute beginners and continue to offer progress to all students through to experienced, advanced students who want to exhibit in the large botanical art exhibitions.

In 2009 Michael has 5 students whose work was exhibited by the Society of Botanical Artists in London. One of which had all five of their entered pieces accepted by the SBA., and another gained a Certificate of Botanical Merit which was a great achievement for both tutor and student.
